Price Transparency and Shoppable Services Information

Disclaimer: Shoppable Services Not Provided

We do not provide shoppable services, as no services can be scheduled and/or provided independently of being a patient at our inpatient rehabilitation facility. Our payments are based on specific reimbursement structure and not offered outside of our inpatient services.

We understand that navigating healthcare costs and insurance complexities can be challenging for patients and families. Our commitment is to provide you with the necessary information to make educated, informed choices about your care and minimize billing confusion.

Compliance with CMS Guidelines

In compliance with federal Hospital Price Transparency regulations set forth by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Kate Dishman Rehabilitation Hospital makes available a comprehensive, machine-readable list of all standard charges.

Important Billing Information: Services are Bundled

We publish this data for transparency purposes; however, it is important to understand our facility's unique billing structure:

  • Services cannot be scheduled or purchased individually: Due to our contracts with insurers, we are reimbursed on a negotiable daily rate or a bundled payment methodology, not for each itemized service provided during an inpatient stay.
  • Itemized lists are for clarity only: While your final bill will itemize individual services rendered (e.g., labs, medications, procedures), these individual line items are for informational purposes only. They do not represent a "shoppable" price.

Understanding Your Estimated Financial Obligation

The information provided in our transparency files consists of estimates only and is not a guarantee of insurance payment or benefits. Many factors contribute to your final financial obligation, including:

  • Deductibles
  • Copayments
  • Coinsurance
  • Out-of-pocket maximums

Your responsibility will not exceed what is defined in your individual health insurance policy or what is negotiated via single case agreements. We will never require payment above and beyond those limits outlined in your health plan.

How to Prepare for Your Inpatient Stay:

  • For the most accurate assessment of your coverage and benefits, we strongly encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly.
  • We are here to help answer questions regarding your financial responsibility. Please contact our billing department if you have any questions.
